Dette gamle fort, kaldet San Domingo af spanierne og omdøbt til Fort Antonie efter hollænderne overtog det i 1641, kaldes det røde fort (hongmao) på det taiwanske sprog. Ikke kun fordi det er malet i en beroligende rød farve, men også fordi de hollandske handelsmænd var kendt for at have rødt hår.
I dag er det åbent for besøgende, og indeni finder du en lille, men omfattende udstilling om Taiwan's kolonihistorie, samt lidt information om den europæiske opdagelsestid. Hvis historie ikke er din ting, fortvivl ikke: fortet byder på nogle dejlige udsigter over floden.
