Among the only two mosques in Taipei City, Taipei Grand Mosque is the more viable one. Locates near Daan Park, Taipei Grand Mosque is easy to find. Built in 1960, Taipei Grand Mosque has been visited by many Muslims live in Taipei, as well as prominent Muslim leaders, religiously or politically, like King Hussein of Jordan and others. 

Designed by Yang Cho-cheng, who also designed Taipei Grand Hotel, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and many other landmarks in Taiwan, Taipei Grand Mosque follows the Islamic traditions and looks magnificent. Friday Prayer is held between 12:30-1:40 PM. As the largest mosque in Taiwan, Taipei Grand Mosque can accommodate up to 1000 worshippers.
