Theisland, aptly name, is a verdant oasis in the heart of Taipei city's Zhongshan district. This wooden cabin-style cafe houses an architecture office on the second floor. Theisland swells with aromas of roasted coffee beans and sunlight streaming in through the wooden roof beams.

For especially lazy days in this logcabin cafe, try their signature 'Island special coffee' made with whisky, Bailey's liquer and a blend of five fine coffee beans. Light meals make the a lovely place to lunch - paninis are a favourite. Live music livens up this 100 year old building, every Friday from 7PM 'til 9PM. Theisland is a sanctury of good vibes and slow living, open Mondays to Sundays from 12PM 'til 9:30PM.
