41 Furnishings

Taipei 41 Furnishings' founder, Cose Huang, has a wholistic approach to furniture design - that informs 41 Furnishings' production process. As an environmentally-friendly process, 41 Furnishings creates pieces from original materials such as wood  to the finishing stage. The space itself is multipurpose, serving as both a workshop and the display gallery. 

Most pieces are fashioned from fragrant, locally-sourced acacia confusa. at 41 Furnishings' gallery space, timber is sculpted into whimsical, multi-functional wooden furniture pieces. A splendid example of contemporary Taiwanese design, 41 Furnishings uses Taiwanese timber to create seesaws that double as bookcases and decorative items rich with cultural references.
