There are certain times of year (Halloween being one) where everyone is scrambling to get costumes. And for those who have a dress up party in the pipeline and want to do it in style - there is a great solution in Taipei! You can take your costume full throttle without spending a fortune.

In Ximending, there is an entire street lined with costume rental stores - everything from Godzilla to Minnie Mouse and the catholic nun. Behind what is commonly known as the gay bar area (the Red House plaza) is HanZhong Street (漢中街), every costume buyer's delgiht. Side note: anyone needing to buy and customize trophies, this is a great place to get it done too!
