Touted as a Nostalgia Bazaar by the Taipei City Government, Zhaoheting Antique Market had its golden era during the Japanese period when the district was called Zhaoheting. It now has over 20 antiques shops and the majority of the shop owners are themselves collectors of interesting things, offering them for sale in their shops.
Here you will find a wide variety of real antiques and nostalgic items such as old toys, icons, early electrical appliances, calligraphy and painting scrolls - ecletic to say the least and well worth a visit. And in case you have an old teapot which requires some TLC - some shops also provide a teapot-repair service, their fine craftsmanship endowing old objects with new life. The market is open every day from 14:00 until 22:00
