Description

Escape the busy city and discover Taiwan’s spectacular east coast on a private 2-day Hualien tour from Taipei. Travel in the comfort of a private vehicle with a local driver-guide, and enjoy Hualien’s mountain landscapes, Pacific Ocean views, and cultural experiences without rushing. Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Taipei to Hualien. Along the way, stop at the magnificent Qingshui Cliffs, where towering mountains meet the deep blue Pacific Ocean. Continue to Taroko National Park and enjoy a gentle walk along the partially reopened section of the Lushui Trail. Visit the Taroko Visitor Center before relaxing beside the clear blue water and pebble-covered shoreline of Qixingtan Beach. The beach is also known locally as Malongayangay and is one of Hualien’s most recognizable coastal landscapes. After an overnight stay at a comfortable 4-star hotel in Hualien, Day 2 offers a completely different side of eastern Taiwan. Visit Malasang Hunter School and learn about Amis indigenous culture through interactive activities. Depending on the program arrangements, the experience may include a welcoming ceremony, traditional archery, indigenous survival skills, bamboo rice preparation, local food tasting, and traditional costume photography. Before returning to Taipei, travel through Yilan and explore the National Center for Traditional Arts. Located beside the Dongshan River, the park introduces you to Taiwanese folk traditions, craftsmanship, historic architecture, cultural performances, and creative workshops. This private Hualien tour is ideal for couples, families, and small groups looking for a comfortable 2-day escape from Taipei. Please note: Access to Taroko National Park is subject to weather, road conditions, and government safety regulations. Some trails and scenic areas may be partially open or temporarily unavailable. This tour is designed as a 2-day Hualien experience, not a Taroko-only tour. If certain Taroko areas are unavailable on the travel date, the itinerary will be adjusted based on the officially accessible scenic spots in Hualien at that time. Alternative arrangements may include other open areas of Taroko National Park, Qingshui Cliffs, Qixingtan Beach, Hualien coastal viewpoints, cultural experiences, or other safe and available attractions in the Hualien area. If access to Taroko National Park or included Taroko areas is unavailable and we need to adjust or replace the itinerary, travelers will be informed of the change and may choose either to continue with the adjusted itinerary or receive a full refund. The tour will continue with the best available Hualien itinerary to ensure travelers enjoy a safe, comfortable, and meaningful east coast experience.
