Itinerary
Day 1: Taipei and Sun Moon Lake
After hotel pickup, travel to Sun Moon Lake in Central Taiwan. Visit Wenwu Temple, Ita Thao Village, Ci'en Pagoda, and Xuanzhuang Temple.
Overnight at Fleur De Chine Hotel in Sun Moon Lake, Le Méridien Taichung, or similar.
Day 2: Tainan and Kaohsiung
Depart to Tainan, Taiwan's oldest city. Visit Fort Zeelandia and stroll along Anping Old Street. After lunch, continue to Kaohsiung and visit Fo Guang Shan Monastery with a guided monk session.
Overnight at Grand Hi-Lai Hotel or similar.
Day 3: Kenting and Taitung
Travel south to Kenting National Park. Visit Eluanpi Lighthouse, Maopitou, Chuanfan Rock, and Longpan Park.
Overnight at Hotel Royal Chihpen, a hot spring resort, or similar in Taitung.
Day 4: East Coast, Hualien and Yilan
Drive along the East Coast National Scenic Area, visiting Xiaoyeliu, Sanxiantai, and Shitiping geological sites. Take a one-way train ride from Hualien to Yilan.
Overnight at Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi or similar.
Day 5: Yilan and Taipei
Visit King Car Kavalan Whisky Distillery and the National Center for Traditional Arts. Return by bus to Taipei with hotel drop-off in the afternoon.
