Start your day in Beitou, one of Taiwan’s most famous hot spring districts. Visit Thermal Valley, known for its steaming, mineral-rich waters and dramatic geothermal scenery. Take a walk around the viewing area and admire the clouds of steam rising from the naturally heated spring.

Continue to the Beitou Hot Spring Museum, a beautifully preserved historic building that was once a public bathhouse during the Japanese colonial period. Step inside to learn about the development of Beitou’s hot spring culture and discover how the area became one of Taiwan’s best-known hot spring destinations.

After exploring Beitou, leave the city behind and head into Yangmingshan National Park, famous for its volcanic terrain, mountain scenery, grasslands, and seasonal flowers.

Visit Xiaoyoukeng, one of the best places in Yangmingshan to observe volcanic activity up close. See steaming fumaroles, sulfur deposits, and the unique geological landscape created by the area’s volcanic activity.

Continue to Qingtiangang Grassland, a wide-open grassland surrounded by rolling mountains. Enjoy time to walk along the trails, take photos, and admire the peaceful scenery. You may also spot the water buffalo that are often seen grazing in the area.
