Description
Your tour begins with a pick-up around 08:00–09:00 from Westgate Hotel, W Taipei, or your Taipei City hotel. Travel to Jiufen to explore the post-mining region and learn about the Northeast Coast’s rich history of gold and coal deposits.
Visit Jinguashi to uncover the geological forces behind the Taiwanese Gold Rush. Then head to the railway town of Shifen for a DIY sky lantern experience.
Explore Yehliu Geopark’s unique coastal erosion formations and seascapes. Finally, stroll Jiufen Old Street, where you can sample local specialties such as taro balls and enjoy coffee or tea at mountainside cafes.
The tour concludes with a return to your original departure point around 17:00–18:00.
