Night markets are among the must-do and must-visit lists in Taiwan. There are a number of night markets all over the island to choose from.Nearby a famous tourist spot, the Longshan Temple, are four smaller night markets that are collectively called the Longshan Temple Night Markets. They are along Huaxi Street, Guangzhou Street, Wuzhou Street and Xichang Streets.
The most famous and infamous (depending on how you look at it) is the Huahsi Street Night Market for its 'snake soup' thus earning it a reputation as the 'Snake Alley'. So for the brave, get a soup or a snake cocktail. You can also opt to go for the turtle soup after a dose of the snake potion!
