Tamsui Old Street

An attraction for foreign tourists and locals alike, this street is the bustling heart of Tamsui town. From hardware to cute curios, it can be bought here. Of course there are many food stalls, most of them offering Tamsui delicacies that you will not find anywhere else in Taipei.

Make sure to try the fish crisps and singular fish balls and get a taste of life on the shore of the estuary. For those a little less adventurous there are of course eateries that will be a little more familiar, as well as the usual chains. The street gets packed in the afternoon during weekends and holidays, so be prepared.
