Near Ximending MRT, in central Taipei, you'll find Hankou Street - a photography enthusiast's utopia. Hankou Street is packed with photography and videography stores, back to back. Vendors even sell expired film and second-hand camera down side alleys. Camera Street is known for having the highest density of photography stores in the country.
You can find nearly anything here, for any budget. A note, that stores that are on the second floor are usually a little cheaper and just about everyone is open to negotiating the price. For old hard-to-finds or the latest top-of-range, Hankou Street is a great place for cameras and camera accessories.
