Bi-ting teahouse

Overlooking the Bitan (Green Lake) is the Bi-ting (Green Pavilion) teahouse (碧亭茶藝館). It is up a pretty steep set of stairs very close to the Bitan suspension bridge but is well worth the effort. The place offers a wide selection of Taiwanese teas, brewed on location and served in an authentic Taiwanese style.

Furthermore, you can enjoy a wonderful, relaxing view of the lake while you sip your tea and truly get the feeling you are out of the city. It's rarely too busy to find a good spot, and the service is friendly. It also is located very close to the entrance of the Hemei hiking trail, adding an extra incentive to try out this lovely teahouse.
