Fisherman's Wharf

Though no longer the casting off point for fishermen, the wharf is well worth a visit. It features many boutiques and slightly more upscale restaurants, as well as a boardwalk along the river. The main attraction is the Lover's Bridge, which offers stunning views of the estuary during the day.

At night, it is lit up and becomes Taiwan's premier romantic hot spot. It is a very popular location and often seen in Taiwanese series and movies, as well as most travel literature. There is also the amphitheater, where live concerts are held, though it is worth checking beforehand as there is no regular schedule.
