Sanxia Old Street

If you fancy a stroll through time, make sure you visit the Old Street of Sanxia, a small township of New Taipei City. Built over a hundred years ago, it shows very strong influence of that period. It was built in a hybrid Chinese-European style, and it has stood the test of time well.

The buildings themselves house a great many handicraft stores as Sanxia has been a center of artisanal industry for several centuries, and in the rear of them you will often find small, charming tea shops. Though it will require a bit of public transportation planning to get there, it is well worth visiting.
