Directions to Taipei Arena
No matter what kind of sport you like, there's a way to play for everyone at the Taipei Arena. The outer wall of the arena is a glass boundary, offering a vision into the city beyond. This transparency seems to visually integrate the arena into the city its situated in and vice-versa, offering visitors to the arena a somehow magnified experience.
The venue itself is open twenty-four hours a day, except for the ice rink which is only open from 9AM until 9PM. The Taipei Arena is comprised of a myriad of smaller venues, among these a showroom, conference rooms, restaurants, a VIP lounge, stores and snack vendors. For public use, the Taipei Arena also houses squash courts, a gym and two dance studios. All of which are available to be rented out by the public.
The multifunctional venue can change overnight from a basketball court to an ice-hockey rink to a boxing ring. Hence, this is the go-to venue for many of Taipei's big-name sports events. If sports aren't your thing, you may better recognise the name Taipei Arena for being the venue that made a name for itself by hosting some of Taiwan's biggest music concerts.
In the past, international stars such as Olivia Newton-John and the Backstreet Boys have performed at the Taipei Arena, as its one of the Taipei venues with the highest seating capacity. The arena totals 34,643 pings and seats up to fifteen thousand visitors. This venue is also been frequented by a number of Asian pop stars ,leaving teary-eyed teenage fans in their wake. So be it athletics or crooners, if you're up for an event that's on the other side of massive be sure to check out the Taipei Arena.
