During the Japanese occupation era, the site of ai Jui-yueh Dance Research Institute housed civilian officials. Tsai Jui-yueh, a renowned Taiwanese contemporary dancer, converted the premises into a dance school. Exhibiting photographs and artefacts that attest to the history of the space, Tsai Jui-yueh Dance Research Institute is a dance center not just a dance school.
Calling to the public to engage and interact with the culture of dance, there is a cafe on the premises where visitors relish the atmoshphere and shuffling footsteps, or participate in classes themselves. Tsai Jui-yueh Dance Research Institute is near Shuanglian MRT station, on the Taipei MRT red line.
