Festival and Public Holidays
Festival & Public Holidays
Taiwan is not as multi-cultural society as Singapore for example. You won’t see many ethnic groups around celebrating their distinctive festivals, even though they surely do. Generally speaking, Western culture is enjoying a favourable stereotype in Taiwan and so you will be able to see Christmas trees and Halloween decorations, although it definitely feels like the sole reason for that is to nudge people into shopping.
We have put together a handy list of all officially celebrated festivals and public holidays
