In Taipei's W Hotel, The WooBar is caretainly a place to woo and be wooed. Like the rest of the W Hotel, the Woobar's sleek surfaces shimmer with affluence. An evening here is as easy on the eyes as it is on the palate. The WooBar has a gorgeous, poolside patio. (Technically, The W calls this outdoor annexe Wet Bar). The underlit pool glows a neon haze onto a crowd of international jetsetters and local guests. Skilled, charming bartenders mix up delectable signature cocktails.
The Woocooler and Balsamic Mojito come highly recommended. Ladies, be sure to grab a cotton candy-sprouting Wonderful Cosmopolitan. Gents, the Manhattan here is famed for pleasing. The W's service philosophy is obvious and the service at The WooBar is outstanding. For a munch between beverages, their fries with truffle mayo are to die for. The WooBar is in Taipei's Xinyi district, very nearby Taipei 101 and Taipei City Hall MRT station. Open 10AM everyday, til 2AM weekdays and 3AM weekends.
