Botega del Vin is a welcoming and intimate space, serving authentic northeastern Italian comfort food. This Italian restaurant is a family business and the care for their homestyle cuisine can be savoured in every fabulous forkful. Although all is good, the gorgonzola gnocchi gets special mention for its delicate flavour and exquisite texture. There are two schools of preference when it comes to the captivating construction that is commonly known as lasagne. Those more inclined toward herb and tomato, will find Botega del Vin's lasagne on the creamy side. But in an authentic Italian restaurant, be a little bit more daring. Try the mushroom ravioli - a rarer dish and easily among the best ravioli Taipei.
Because dishes are served in authentic Italian style, pasta is always al dente. Those accustomed to Asian noodles will find the pasta a little more chewy - almost like Japanese Udon Noodles. Customers also rave about Botega del Vin's desserts - namely, the otherworldly tiramisu and cheesecake. Although the service is somewhat lackadaisical, the limoncello more than makes up for it.
Botega del Vin is really a customer-oriented environment in the sense that the experience is intimate and tailor-made. This one is a fun evening out for foodies who'll appreciate the love that's going into their made-to-order Italian meal. Botega del Vin is open for dinner only, Monday to Saturday (closed Sundays). Reservations for this cosy Italian joint are recommended as it is popular and this restaurant doesn't turn tables quickly.
