Forchetta
Taipei
Italian food is quite common in Taipei, even Fusion-Italian. Forchetta adds its name to that list and adds its own flavors to Taipei's food scene. The restaurant is a little hidden behind some green shrubbery but is given away by its tall black sign. Forchetta's owner, Chef Max, is a veteran of Italian restaurants, having a resume that includes Cosi o Cosi and Hao Yang.
The food is well-designed to be pleasing to both eyes and taste-buds. The menu consists of pastas, steaks, mozzarella, quail, duck, lamb chop, and fresh fish from Keelung. Forchetta's food and atmosphere make it a nice spot for a romantic or business dinner.
