Picnic Cafe
Taipei
Picnic Cafe is one of the coziest coffee corners in the city. This country cottage-like interior space is beautifully designed and attracts a slightly creative crowd. The staff at picnic are incredibly friendly. The sunny disposition of the staff and dappled light shimmying through this comfy space, as afternoon becomes evening, is what makes Picnic so welcoming. (That and the multiple electrical outlets and decent WiFi).
Picnic does a meat quiche and offers a a delicious range of teas, coffees and confectionary. A very affordable option with salads around $150, or a small selection of cookies for just $60. A great place to catch up on some work, cosy up on a date or get some alone time with hot java. Picnic is open lunch time 'til late.
