Sababa Pita

Sababa Pita is a Taipei favourite. In Taipei's Gongguan district, right around the corner from NTU, there are three Sababa locations serving Sababa's own secret recipe pita breads. With reasonable prices and a rare alliance of authentic middle eastern ingredients - think  tzatziki, tahini, feta, falafels and hummus - Sababa Pita Bar has fast become the student's patron saint of schwarma. This Middle Eastern streetside eatery calls to passers-by with aromas of sizzling herbed lamb and pine nuts. A casual, cosy atmosphere with smiley service and affordable wine, beer and cocktails. Best of all, a place where vegetarians can have it good too. After eating be sure to stop next door, for one of TJ's cookies or cupcakes - arguably the best treat in Taipei.
