Torarakuya

Torarakuya Taipei (寅樂屋) is an eatery opened by the same restaurateur that brought Taipei Cafe Kuroshio (咖啡黑潮) and Caffe Libero (咖啡小自由). This charming Japanese eatery is tucked away in a quieter street, obscured by a row of rundown houses at the interesection of Xinyi district and Guangfu South road.

The interior is inspired by old Japan aesthetics, decked out in warm wooden colours and ambient light. The signature dish at Torarakuya is a hearty, wholesome Japanese style curry. Aside from traditional Japanese curry, their store is a small dining room offering coffee as well. Food is very affordable for this part of town. Torarakuya-Taipei is open daily from 11:30AM to 9PM and closed on Thursdays.
