Directions to Maji Maji Square
Maji Maji is an immensely fun and interactive space. The lifestyle and food market takes note that grawn-ups may be in need of their playtime too. Maji Maji is situated just outside of Taipei's Yuanshan MRT station, just beside the Taipei Flora Expo Park and a five minute walk from the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. (A really good list of venues if you're considering a full day of activity. Not to mention the sprawling lawns surrounding the market - perfect for a picnic with the kids and trays of eats from the Maji Maji market). Maji Maji is a wonderland of gourmet food and retro lifestyle products, bristling with life as the music of live performers whirls along the market passageways. Maji Maji market is bursting with personality and really calls to visitors to enter into one of the communal experiences that make Taipei such an amicable and liveable city.
At the entrance to Maji Maji, a selection of farmer's market stalls sells organic, locally sourced foods - ripened to perfection. Seasonal fruits, free range eggs and homemade yoghurts. Around upcycled barrels and mismatched antiquated chairs, adults congregate to try the very (VERY) affordable food vendors' single servings. Maji Maji is a particularl affordable venue for trying to satiate more exotic food hankerings on a budget. Food vendors in the Maji Maji market eating area offer cuisine from every corner of the continent. A great place for laid-back drinks, quick bites and shopping for one-of-a-kind clothing or decor items.
