Taipei Story House
Taipei
It's hard to miss Taipei Story House, even from afar. With its colorful exterior, this site serves to showcase historic cultural life in Taiwan.
Taipei Story House was constructed in 1913, when an aristocratic tea merchant decided to have a place to entertain clients. Since then, it has changed hands and was even once used as a residence of Kuo-Shu Huang, former President of the Legislative Yuan. In 1998, it was formally declared a historic site and was closed down for renovation.
Today, there are a variety of cultural activities and exhibitions that features moments captured from the past. There is also a French restaurant on site called 'Story Tea House' where visitors can enjoy fine dining.
