Jolly's restaurant and microbrewery is an interesting fusion of traditional Thai cuisine paired with an American style brewery. Jolly's is one of many of the fusion food attractions in Taipei's ever-expanding and ever-diversifying dining scene.
Jolly's Brewery's flagship branch is situated within a minutes' walk of Nanjing East Road MRT station. The restaurant has since opened another branch near Ximending. However, their Ximending branch is an expansive venue with a much greater seating capacity. While both are great, the flagship branch offers a much more intimate setting.
Although the location also caters very well to larger groups - allowing you to order more Thai dishes to share and more beer tasting sets to sample. At Jolly's you can expect to find some of the most popular dishes from Thailand, such as Pad Thai,
yellow/red/green Thai curry, and a variety of fried rice. The atmosphere is very upbeat and modern with sports bars appeal. The hand crafted beer at Jolly's is crafted to suit any connoisseur's palette. The food really is delicious.
The beers are seasonally brewed so don't expect to try the same thing twice! Always make sure to book in advance before dining in at Jolly's, this place is eccentric and live on the weekends. An affordable drinking spot too, as beers range from NT$110 for a 250ml glass to NT$350 for 800ml.
