Ippudo

It is safe to say that ramen is immensely popular in Taipei, as there are many ramen shops to choose from. Many do extremely well in their craft and Ippudo follows this. With restaurants open around the world (Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, China, Korea, New York, and obviously Japan and Taiwan), Ippudo has left its mark on the world. All staff are sent to Japan for training to get a hands-on approach in the homeland.

The four main choices of ramen include Akamaru (spicy miso), Shiomaru (pork broth), Ippudo (meat sauce), and brothless vegetarian. Sides include chopped sesame cucumber, tofu kimchi, pot stickers, crispy beef tongue, and much more. Taipei's Ippudo is about a 5-10 minute walk from Zhongshan MRT station on the red line.
