Jiu Ru
Taipei
Famous for pen shih or hun dun ,as people in Shanghai call it, or won ton as people in Hong Kong call it, Jiu-Ru (九如商號) is certainly one of the favorite places among locals. Perhaps it's because of the decades of being in town, Jiu-Ru boasts its Chekiang-style hun dun. With its big size, it's certainly filling!
The specialty here is the pork and green vegetable hun dun, priced at NT$100. And if this doesn't hit the spot, try the famous Huzhou dumplings. An average meal here is around NT$200. English menus are also available. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
