Although the Taishun Street Traditional Dessert Stall (泰順街湯圓攤) is not really a restaurant, it certainly deserves a mention. Taiwanese traditional desserts are in a category of their own - completely unlike what we would consider desserts in the west, except for the fact that they are sweet.

This dessert stall is particularly popular during Winter solstice, when glutinous dumplings are served to celebrate Dongzhi Festival. This dessert over forty years, serving desserts made from scratch, according to family recipe. Sweet sesame dumplings and tofu pudding with peanuts are among the sweetest of the treats served here. Take note they're open late afternoon 'til evening and closed on Sundays!
