For those seeking fine dining out in Taiwan's numerous beautiful mountains can find their desires fulfilled at The Top Restaurant (屋頂上) in YangMinShan. This place is found very close to the area's Chinese Culture University and sits at the perfect elevation to offer guests an amazing view of northern Taipei.
An elegantly designed spot following a 'tropical vacation' theme, the menu here is very much Asian-style cuisine and even some Do-It-Yourself Barbecue. There are also combo sets to give groups a well-varied meal, and an extensive list of drinks including lots of wine and cocktails.
The biggest challenge about The Top would be getting there as it is NOT close to the MRT. Best that this place be done as part of a late night trip to Yangminshan area, and this place stays open pretty late.
