King Join
Taipei
King Join (京兆尹) is found right around the corner from Renai Circle. This restaurant dips deep into Chinese traditional cuisine, serving vegetarian fine dining dishes dating back the Qing Dynasty. The very site itself is full immersion, with Chinese decorations and music (sometimes even live performer) to bring guests to the old Imperial times.
The menu is massive for a vegetarian restaurant, about 50 pages of various kinds of vegetarian food; tofu, steam buns, noodles, spring rolls, dumplings, anything in the cuisine that can have a non-meat variant. To save time instead of searching through the menu, guests are offered meal sets to make the best combinations and can feed between two to ten. King Join has desserts covered too, and if there is a sweet you really enjoyed, by a boxed gift of it at the register on the way out.
