Cheese David is one of the many restaurants found in the popular Ximending area. The owner is a Taiwanese-American who lived in Philadelphia and wanted to bring the local prized food to Taiwan: the cheesesteak sandwich! The interior has the feel of the typical fast food joint (except for the few decorative memento of Philly), as does the menu: besides the flagship cheesesteak, one can find other types of subs such as fried chicken, bacon, and salad.
Beyond the subs are American style burgers, and chicken wraps. Sides include fries and combos including them are available. Cheese David would not be 100% fulfilling to the cravings of Philadelphia expats, but the steaks covered in melting cheese in a sub-sandwich can relieve some of their homesickness, and even intrigue the locals.
